McLean Equine is based in Wantage, Oxfordshire, and covers the surrounding Oxfordshire and Berkshire area. For enquiries outside this region, please get in touch to discuss travel arrangements — Sarah aims to be as flexible as possible.
Yes. McLean Equine works with riders and horses at all levels — from complete beginners and nervous novices through to experienced competitors. Each client receives a fully tailored approach. There's no minimum or maximum level requirement.

Sarah holds a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science, is a BHS Stage 2 Coach, holds a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom qualification (Diploma), and has a Diploma in Racehorse Care & Management. She is also currently completing a PhD in Equine Science. Full details are available on the About page.
Both. McLean Equine offers one-off coaching sessions, one-off competition support, and ad-hoc horse care — as well as regular ongoing arrangements for coaching programmes, weekly schooling or care routines. Flexibility is one of the key advantages of working with a freelance professional.
Yes. Sarah has a Diploma in Racehorse Care & Management and direct experience working in racing. She understands the racing environment, the way racehorses are handled and trained, and the specific challenges of transitioning them into new careers. Ex-racehorse retraining is one of the services McLean Equine is particularly well placed to offer.
